About Us
Lexington Saturday Korean School is a program designed for Korean heritage students with KFL (Korean as Foreign Language) classes for non-Korean learners.
An ESL (English as Second Language) program is also offered for Korean students who wish to excel in their language and academic endeavors.
We accept students of all ages and proficiency levels- learn more and join us!

Korean Program | Offered Classes

3 year-old Class
Expected proficiency: None
Lead Teacher: Nari Jung
This class aims to familiarize the Korean langauge to children through spoken instruction and play.

Pre-K Class
Expected Proficiency: Understanding spoken instructions
Lead Teacher: Yeeun Han
This class aims to master Korean consonants and vowels over 2 semesters.

K-12 Classes
Expected Proficiency: Double consonants and complex vowels
Lead Teacher: Soo Gyung Ahn
This class aims to teach students reading comprehension and writing at Korean grade level standards.

Adult/KFL- Beginners Class
Expected Proficiency: None
All adult students are assigned classes based on their proficiency test conducted on the first day of Korean School

Adult/KFL- Intermediate Class
Expected Proficiency: Basic Reading, Writing, Speaking
All adult students are assigned classes based on their proficiency test conducted on the first day of Korean School

Expected Proficiency: Ability to have casual conversations

ESL Program | Offered Classes

In-person ESL
Expected proficiency: None
Teachers: Andrew McKinnon, Grace Kim, and Sean Rollins
This class, led by two expert teachers in ESL, aims to grow confidence in speaking English with a focus on grammar and pronunciation.

Online Conversation Club
Expected Proficiency: None
Students meet with their assigned teachers twice a week for 15 minutes via Google Meets. During this time, students engage in casual conversations with their teachers and have an opportunity to get frequently missed grammar and pronunciation corrected.
